CHERRY BLOSSOM – PRUNUS CESARUS FLOWER (extract)

This extract of cherry blossoms grown in Provence is rich in active compounds, and mainly composed of caffeoyl glucoside, an active ingredient of the anthocyanidol family, subfamily of flavonoids, highly antioxidant.
Thanks to its anti-oxidant action, it helps reduce the formation of free radicals caused by exposure to the sun’s UV rays and responsible for oxidative stress, which is itself responsible for skin aging.
It also helps to strengthen the skin barrier and thus protect the skin by stimulating the production of agents responsible for the integrity of the stratum corneum (the most superficial tissue of the skin).
Able to boost collagen production, it also prevents the degradation of collagen fibers caused by UV rays.

Today, with the expansion of digital, we would be exposed about 6 hours a day to blue light via the screens in particular. Chronic and strong exposure to this blue light has a harmful effect on the eyes but is also harmful to the skin. Indeed, by disrupting the structure and support of the cells, exhausting them little by little, blue light accelerates in the long term the natural aging of the skin causing the appearance of brown spots and skin sagging.

​Thanks to the Japanese cherry blossom extract, cell degradation caused by blue light is reduced by 75%.
