PEQUI – CARYOCAR BRASILIENSE FRUIT (oil)

Originally from Brazil, pequi is a tree whose fruits are used in cosmetics for their ultra-moisturizing benefits. The pulp of the fruit is extracted to make an oil that is extremely rich in oleic and palmitic acids, fatty acids similar to those found in the epidermis, and anti-oxidant provitamin A (or beta carotene).

Its composition makes it a highly prized oil for providing softness and hydration and improving hair quality thanks to the film formed by its active ingredient. It coats the fiber, reduces frizz, and improves curl definition.
