COMPLEX OF MOISTURIZING ACTIVE – SODIUM PCA, GLYCOSPHINGOLIPIDS, ACETYL GLUCOSAMINE, HYDROLYZED YEAST EXTRACT (niosome)

In order to understand the action of this moisturizing complex and the importance of the encapsulation of these ingredients, it is necessary to look at a common problem around the eye, the lack of hydration.

Why does the eye contour lack hydration?

The skin around the eye is very thin, about 20 times more than the rest of the face, which does not allow a large water reserve, and the little water present evaporates easily.

Furthermore, the eye area contains very few sebaceous glands, which makes it a sensitive area, prone to dryness and irritation.

How does this complex act on hydration?

The skin is made up of three distinct layers, each having its vital role.

The epidermis, the outer layer, is mainly made up of keratinocytes which protect the skin by acting as a barrier.

The dermis, just below, is mainly responsible for the production of collagen and elastin, and contains a crucial moisture reservoir for the skin.

Finally, the hypodermis, the deepest layer, provides essential protection for the underlying structures.

But then, how do the ingredients pass through all these layers of the skin for real effectiveness?

Our ultra-moisturizing complex, composed of innovative ingredients from green chemistry and rich in vitamins, was encapsulated as a niosome. Indeed, the smaller the active ingredient, the more effective its penetration will be.

Niosomes are small molecular vehicles capable of easily and sustainably transporting the active ingredient through the layers of the skin, ensuring its protection against degradation and its prolonged release.

Niosomes are also called “ultra-deformable”. Their specific composition allows them to deform easily and be more flexible, in order to navigate deeper through the skin and cells.

Results:

This complex of active ingredients can therefore pass through the 3 layers of the skin to:
– Optimally restore the skin barrier of the epidermis.
– Fill small cracks linked to dryness of the skin.
– Form a soothing protective film.
– Increase the water content of the epidermis and dermis.

*The synthesis of procollagen takes place in cells called fibroblasts, where it undergoes various chemical changes before transforming into collagen. Once transformed into mature collagen, procollagen participates in the formation of collagen fibers, which ensure the strength and elasticity of connective tissues. Procollagen therefore plays an essential role in the growth and repair of body tissues.

What is this ultra-hydrating complex made of, and how does it work effectively on the skin?

In this niosome, we have encapsulated a complex of 4 innovative ingredients from green chemistry, selected for their ultra-hydrating powers:

  • Sodium PCA: a component of the “Natural Moisturizing Factor” (NMF). NMF is a mixture of molecules capable of retaining moisture in cells in order to slow the loss of water through evaporation. By keeping the skin moist and protecting it from water loss, it makes it soft and elastic.
  • Glycosphingolipids: Rice phytoceramides form a protective barrier against moisture loss. They repair sensitive and dry skin and provide long-term protection of the skin.
  • Acetyl glucosamine: increases hyaluronic acid production for more hydration and elasticity.
  • Yeast extract: by acting on collagen, it revitalizes the skin and reduces the signs of aging (loss of elasticity and firmness).
