ROSEHIP – ROSA CANINA FRUIT (oil)

One of the best oils available for anti-aging and skin rejuvenation. Rose hip seed oil is a pressed seed oil, extracted from the seeds of a rose bush which grows wild in the southern Andes. It is unique among vegetable oils in containing retinol (Vitamin A), and is also high in vitamin C. Rose hip seed oil is high in the essential fatty acids – linoleic acid or omega-6 (45%), and linolenic acid or omega-3 (35%). This exceptional concentration combined with its deep penetrating properties helps with the regeneration and elasticity of cellular tissues and the strengthening the skin’s barrier. It is commonly used to rehydrate and revitalise dry, mature or sun burnt skin and to prevent wrinkles. Rose hip oil is also frequently used to heal scarring and diminish photo-aging.
