My gazpacho recipe to reduce puffiness and dark circles

At SHIGETA PARIS, we believe that taking care of your inner health is just as crucial as outer beauty. In fact, the two are closely linked.

In addition to the benefits of our Hydro Repair Eye Serum, have you ever thought about choosing foods that are beneficial for your eyes and can help improve the appearance of bags and dark circles?

To understand which foods are suitable, you need to know how these phenomena are created.

Due to the thinness of the skin in the area around the eyes, circulation blood and lymphatic is slowed, which causes fluid accumulation, creating bags under the eyes. In addition, collagen and elastin, essential for skin firmness, decrease with age, which worsens sagging skin.

To reduce water retention under the eyes, you can favor diuretic foods (which increase urinary production) such as watermelon, tomatoes, garlic or basil.

Concerning dark circles, there are two types:

  • Yellow, blue to purple dark circles, formed due to microcirculation slow, poor oxygenation and evacuation cellular waste.
  • Brown to black dark circles formed by melanin accumulation ( dark skin pigments), made more visible due to the transparency of the skin.

To improve blood circulation, consider foods rich in flavonoids (helping to dilate blood vessels), such as tomatoes, parsley, celery or citrus fruits.
